Meet Christian and Alexandra House

My name is Christian House. My wife Alexandra and I have been praying for the past two years to find the right ministry opportunity we could pour our hearts and passions toward. Even before we were married, we both knew the Lord was calling us into full-time ministry; we simply had not found the right fit just yet.

I grew up in Bozeman, Montana, and have lived there the majority of my life. My wife grew up in Defiance, Ohio, and we met in Atlanta at a nutrition conference in 2008. We fell quickly in love and developed a long-distance relationship for 2 ½ years before finally getting married in January 2011. We were so excited to get married and shared our very first kiss on our wedding day. I moved to Ohio a few months before we were married, and we lived there for two years before we moved back to Montana together in January of 2013. We have a 21-month-old son named Josiah and a beautiful three-month-old daughter named Sophia.

We both have several years of church and ministry experience in various settings. I have served mostly as a youth worker, worship leader, and creative arts director in the ministries I have partnered with over the past twelve years.

One significant ministry experience I had in Bozeman was with a young, growing church named Journey Church. This church was extremely evangelistic and energetic. Five years after Journey Church was planted, it was averaging more than 1,200 people per weekend. The creative arts director, named Brandon, agreed to mentor and train me to be a more effective worship and music leader. He definitely challenged me because the standards of professionalism at Journey Church were much higher than I had previously experienced. Journey had a large worship team and often employed strings and several creative arts during their worship such as painting and even sand art. This was a broad and diverse leadership experience and one from which I dramatically grew.

After two years of leading the weekend worship services around twice per month at Journey Church, I proposed to Alexandra and moved to   Defiance, Ohio. We were married and served in several capacities at Emmanuel Baptist Church where she grew up. We served and led the music team on several occasions and led the youth for a season. Alexandra and I decided to move back to Montana for a job, so I could finish my bachelor’s degree, and to pursue being mentored by an incredible Bible teacher, who is also the pastor of Grace Bible Church in Bozeman.

I recently completed my bachelor’s degree in communications from Thomas Edison State        College and will receive my diploma in September. I am planning to pursue a master’s degree and   possibly a doctoral degree in theology beginning in 2014.

Alexandra and I have a deep passion for the Lord and are excited to pour our lives and passions into ministry as well as seeing people fall more madly in love with Christ.

For His glory,
Christian and Alexandra House
