Keep praying for the missions team as they serve throughout the streets of DC. The group is split and all serving in different ways. This was one of the stories from some of the team members working today… “My group went to Christ House, it’s a hospital for the homeless. Mostly men. We cleaned out the apartments for them so new people could move in and then we ate lunch with them and we got to sit and talk with them. They shared their stories and why they were there. It was a blessing for us. The guy Kelsey and I talked to was hit by a car and has screws in his knees. He has major plans for his future, he’s an amazing artist and he writes poetry, by next month he wants to have his poetry book done so be can publish that and he wants to pursue college again to study art.”

Missions team is doing well. Timothy Weber was able to give his testimony and Danny & Christian were able to serve communion to the team members.

Work teams were quite busy today. One team worked on bikes to send to Kenya. They had to remove pedals, lower seats, turn the handle bars and make them as small as possible. They were able to fit 503 bikes in a travel trailer. The other team helped at Pathways, an organization that assists group homes for people that can’t be outside for many reasons due to mental health or medication reasons. A great day. Pray for the team tomorrow as they head into DC for the Together Conference.
