Luke 10:2

And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

6-13-15 Village ministry day 2

Another great day. Everyone working extremely hard with the kids and parents. We visited two sugarcane villagers and were able to distribute 280 pounds of food to needy families. Good job team!

6-13-15 Feeding the hungry

From Alison Snyder: Today was a very eventful day. Our first part of our day we went to a sugar cane village and played with the kids. We also sang songs with them and made bracelets to help them understand what Jesus did for us. Then the boys played baseball and the girls painted each others nails. Our second part of the day it was very busy. We had a blast with the kids and their families. This village was in dire need of food so we brought them weeks’ worth of food. We also painted nails and sang with them. They loved our songs so much they had us repeat our songs. Before we left we prayed for them as we gave them their food and even though it was hard to communicate clearly all the time, we still shared the gospel with them.

Love,
The missions team

6-12-15 Sugar Cane Village

From Mason Myers: Today for ministry, we started our day by going to the Lily House. The Lily House is a place where they rescue women and their children from prostitution. The girls did songs, nails and crafts with the children. The guys built shelves and scrubbed walls. They were very thankful. Then in the second part of our day we went to a sugarcane village. The people were very exited to see us. It impacted our lives greatly. We started out by just getting to know the villagers. Then we started our VBS program by singing Me Basta Tu Amor (Your Grace is Enough) and Jesus Loves Me. Then the boys played baseball and the girls stayed back and did nails and crafts. After that we played a little more with the kids then said adios. We are very excited to see what’s in store for tomorrow!

Love,
The missions team
