Welcome to David’s!
David’s Community Bible Church is a family, and a place to call home. It’s a place to find help, healing, and hope. We are passionate about Jesus, friendships, and finding our purpose in life. Whether you have never been to church in your life, or you’ve been away from God for a long time, or you’ve walked with Jesus for many years, you are most welcome here!
What should I expect?
Each Sunday we gather together to learn about God, hear his Word from the Bible, and discover how to apply it to our daily lives. Our services include live music led by our talented praise band (sing along, we’ve got the words on a screen!) and an awesome message from one of our pastors. (We also take an offering, but this is only for church members and those committed to David’s. Don’t feel any pressure to put anything in.)
I don’t quite know what to do when I get there.
If this is your first time to David’s, please visit our welcome desk in the foyer. It’s straight ahead when you walk in the main doors. One of our greeters will be happy to help you figure out where to go and what to do. And, please fill out one of our visitor cards so our pastors can email or call you just to introduce themselves and say thanks for visiting. (We promise, we won’t annoy you! We just enjoy making new friends.) Make sure you drop off your visitor card at the welcome desk on your way out! You will receive a Dunkin Donuts gift card as our way of saying thank you for visiting us!
When should I get there?
The main worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. We highly recommend getting here 15 to 20 minutes early to account for parking and finding a seat. If you have children, please allow for extra time to get them signed in to our KidCheck system located in the foyer (straight ahead when you walk in). The KidCheck system helps us keep your children safe and secure while they are part of our programs and gives you peace of mind as you worship with us.
What should I wear?
On any Sunday morning, you will see everything from suits to shorts. Many people dress casually, but you can wear anything you feel comfortable in.
Where do I park?
We have a large parking lot conveniently located right near the church building. Several handicap spaces are also available. If you have mobility challenges, feel free to pull up to the main doors and ask one of our friendly greeters to park your car for you. If you can’t do the steps to the main door, one of our greeters can direct you to our elevator system.
Um, where are the restrooms?
Yes, an important question. As you enter the main doors into the foyer, please go down the hallway to the left. The restrooms are on the left.
I don’t have a Bible.
No worries. We have some for you to borrow in the pews where you sit. (The bulletin we hand out even lists what page we’re on.)
Do you have a nursery?
Have a little tyke? We have separate nurseries for infants and toddlers each week run by qualified, loving members of our church family. Each adult worker in our children’s ministry is background checked for your child’s protection. We also have a pager system to alert you if your little one has any issues.
How about my older children?
David’s has a Junior Church for children age 4 through 2nd grade. Children will experience and learn God’s truth on their level through Bible lessons, crafts, videos, and lots of fun. The children will join you for the music and worship time at the beginning of the service, then will be dismissed for Junior Church at the appropriate time. (We make an announcement when it is time.) You will escort your children down the large hallway to the left of the foyer and go all the way down to the Small Fellowship Hall. (If you can’t find it, just follow the other parents and kids!) You will pick them up in the Small Fellowship Hall after the service.
What do you have for teens?
Elevate Student Ministries is designed for grades 6-12 and is held downstairs Sunday evenings from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Students get to be a part of an engaging environment where they will be challenged to grow closer to Jesus through relevant teaching, food, games, sports, connecting with other students, and small groups.
I’d like to make some new friends and learn the Bible better.
Awesome! So would we!! We have small groups that meet throughout the week for people of any age and stage of life. Sure, we love Sunday morning church … but small groups are where we ask questions, study the Bible, grow, make mistakes, love, laugh, cry, pray for each other, find friends who really do care about us, and just do life together. Ask for more information at our visitor’s desk so we can plug you in right away.
I have so many questions.
Great! We love questions! If you want to know more about what the pastor talked about or if you have questions about the church, fill out one of our visitor cards and turn it in to the welcome desk on your way out. There’s even space to include prayer requests if you want us to pray for you. Also, several of our pastors will be in the foyer to greet you when you leave. Feel free to tell them you have questions.
We’re so excited to meet you!
