Today was day 2 of the Costa Rica trip and our first day of ministry. Today we went to La Carpio to a church to feed kids. This neighborhood bordered the garbage dump and was a poorer area. Here are some words from two team members:

“I met many kids, but one especially clung to me and surprisingly her name was Emily too. I held her and I had to feed her because she wouldn’t eat unless I fed her. She will always remain in my memories. I also met Andres who was a special needs young man and I hung around with him. He is another person I will never forget I hope that I never forget this day in Costa Rica.” –Emille Moore

“It was a great day at the church. Pastor James’ words really impacted me. He is a pastor in a really poor area and it took him five years to get the church to where it is today. Even though life has been very tough the pastor trusted Jesus And He answered his prayers. I also had a lot of fun dancing and playing with the kids. It was a great day.” –Ben Briggs
